A whole automatic car-wash — but for one unbothered cat.
The joke is scale. We put one calm gray cat through a full seven-stage automatic spa — entrance, pre-rinse, foam, brushing, final rinse, drying, exit — and run every single stage inside one pearl-cream chamber in fifteen seconds. He walks in dirty and short-coated with mud on his paws and forehead; he walks out clean and luxuriously fluffy. The elaborate machinery does all the work while he just… blinks. The gap between the fussy, over-engineered treatment and his almost indifferent expression is the entire payoff. The fur only turns fluffy during the drying stage — that late reveal is the money shot. No dialogue, SFX only.
The whole trick
Never skip a stage — shorten each one. Seven readable beats in fifteen seconds sells 'a real machine doing a real job,' and holding the fluffy transformation until the drying stage makes the reveal land.
Four steps, start to scroll-stopper.

Character reference image
Consistency is everything — the same cat, collar and bell must read in every frame. Lock one clean reference in Nano Banana (Gemini) or GPT Image showing his final look — round face, huge amber-brown eyes, pink triangular nose, pale gray muzzle, small triangular ears, long white whiskers, dark collar with a single silver bell, compact rounded body, exactly four paws and one tail. Upload it to Seedance 2.0. Because the reference shows him clean and fluffy, the prompt has to explicitly age him backward at the start: same cat, but short, flattened, scruffy fur with brown mud smudges on his paws, flanks and forehead.

The Gray Cat
The Spa GuestRound face, huge amber-brown eyes, pink triangular nose, pale gray muzzle, pale chest and belly, small triangular ears, long white whiskers. Dark collar, one silver bell. Enters muddy and short-coated; leaves clean and luxuriously fluffy. Never frantic — just small eye movements and one satisfied smile.
Calm · curious · faintly smugPro move
State plainly that the coat is short and dirty at entrance, wet and sleek during washing, and fluffy ONLY after drying. His body never inflates — only the coat gains volume. That one rule keeps the reveal clean instead of turning him into a balloon.
Storyboard the entrance, the wash and the fluffy exit
Before you animate, lock the arc as three stills. Using your locked cat as reference, generate the dirty setup, the foam-covered mid-point and the fluffy payoff. If those three read at a glance, the fifteen seconds will too.
| Frame | What we see | Prompt focus |
|---|---|---|
| ENTRANCE | The dirty, short-coated cat at the open threshold, taking two steps in, one muddy pawprint left outside as the transparent door lowers behind him. | Three-quarter wide shot, warm cinematic lighting, muddy fur clearly established. |
| THE WASH | A medium side view through the transparent door: foam blanketing his back and sides, three soft round brushes on mechanical arms mid-pass, his face kept clear. | Consistent side view, soft rounded machinery, calm unimpressed expression. |
| FLUFFY EXIT | The clean, fluffy cat outside the chamber, sitting upright with front paws tucked to his chest, looking down at his fur with a tiny satisfied smile. | Three-quarter view, rounded reference silhouette, the fully lifted luxurious coat. |
Here's the prompt for the WASH key frame — mid-treatment, foamed and brushed but not yet fluffy:

With your cat uploaded as an image reference, set 9:16 · 720p+ · 15s · no subtitles, and paste the full master prompt below. The stage-by-stage timeline shows the beats — the complete prompt follows underneath. The rule that makes it work: include every stage in order, just shorten each one.
| Time | Beat |
|---|---|
| 0:00–2:00 | Entrance — the dirty cat steps in from the open threshold, turns screen right, one muddy pawprint left outside; the transparent door lowers behind him. |
| 2:00–3:50 | Pre-rinse — ceiling nozzles spray his back and flanks, mud loosens and drains, coat turns wet and sleek; one slow unimpressed blink. |
| 3:50–5:00 | Foam — water stops, dispensers release a burst of white shampoo foam over his back and sides; face stays clear; he eyes a foam blob on his flank. |
| 5:00–7:00 | Brushing — three soft round brushes lower on arms, two gentle coordinated passes work foam through the fur, then fully retract; he closes his eyes contentedly. |
| 7:00–9:00 | Final rinse — nozzles carry the foam downward, suds drain through the floor; all mud and shampoo gone; clean but still wet and short-coated. |
| 9:00–12:00 | Drying & fluffy transformation — side vents blow gentle air; coat dries and lifts from cheeks to shoulders, chest, belly and tail into the fluffy reference look by 11.70; door rises by 12.00. |
| 12:00–15:00 | Exit & final pose — the fluffy cat walks out on all four paws, coat bouncing, sits upright with front paws tucked, looks down with a tiny satisfied smile; hold the finished pose. |

The render is 80% of it. These finishing touches are what make it feel like a studio drop.
Stage-synced SFX only
Layer each sound to its stage: pawsteps and a delicate bell jingle at the entrance · door motor · water spray on the rinses · bubbling foam · soft brush swishes · drainage gurgle · gentle drying airflow. No music, no dialogue, no narration.
Gold title card
Open on a clean title: "THE CAT SPA" + subtitle "Cinematic 3D AI cartoon short," matching your studio style. Keep it off the wash stages so nothing covers the reveal.
Publish for Reels
9:16, hook in the first 0.5s on the muddy cat stepping in. Caption with a comment-gate: "Comment SPA for the full guide."
Protect the reveal
Hold the fluffy transformation until the drying stage — if the coat puffs early, the ending has nothing to land. Keep him sleek and wet through rinse and brushing, then let the fur lift on the vents.

Before you hit publish
- ✓The cat matches his reference in every beat — same face, collar and single silver bell (identity consistency)
- ✓All seven stages appear in order — entrance, pre-rinse, foam, brushing, final rinse, drying, exit — none skipped
- ✓Coat state is correct throughout: short and dirty in, wet and sleek during washing, fluffy only after drying
- ✓Everything happens inside one pearl-cream chamber — no conveyor, teleport or scene change
- ✓Calm-guest comedy reads: elaborate machine vs his indifferent expression and one satisfied smile
- ✓SFX only, synced to each stage — no music, dialogue, subtitles or on-screen text
- ✓9:16, 15 seconds, 720p or better; door closes only after his tail clears and he exits only once it's fully raised
